Informally introducing myself, my name is Matt. Formally rather than ‘formerly known as’ Matthew David Spencer. Hence the nifty domain hack and place I call home www.spencer.md.

I am an avid domain name enthusiast with a passion for social media commentary, shipping and transportation, food, art, love, life and literature.

Visitors to www.spencer.md can expect a mixture of the content listed above, with a small bias towards domaining, social media and social media optimization (SMO) related topics.

My first domain purchases were Malaysian geo state names including selangor.com and selangor.net .I later moved these as a package with 700% ROI in 2002. I have been domaining in some way shape or form every since.

I have a passion for the software, platforms and applications that enable social media and social networking environments and therefore enjoy engaging in projects of this nature.

Blogging exploits aside, I am actively involved in a number of start-up companies and joint ventures, with a focus towards niche microblogging, URL shortening services and domain name registration services.

I love every single domain extension and have a bias towards none. I strongly believe the upcoming release of generic TLDs will launch the domaining industry, domain investment and in turn domain development into hyperspeed.
